Not Even The Rain
Summer rain. After the build-up of humidity, a cloudburst freshens the air and enlivens the landscape. New colours, new scents, a moment's respite from the heat. This collection is about taking a perspective from above the trees – it's a plane coming in to land at Gatwick, viewing the landscape in abstract form.
These paintings play with value and colour, and have been created intuitively, each emerging through a process that includes many separate layers, which feature a number of different media. This has given the works a depth and individuality that is truly unique. They are presented in white, wooden floater frames.
