Taken By The Mood

Soft sweeps of bold, warm colours: this painting is inspired by the landscape of Richmond Park in London. It takes an abstract approach to its subject, exploring the use of a limited palette — magenta, cadmium orange hue, ultramarine blue, cadmium yellow deep hue, plus titanium white and mars black. 

It is one of a limited series. Each piece has been created intuitively, emerging through a process that includes many separate layers, featuring a number of different media — including acrylic paint, collage, oil pastel and crayon. This has given the works a depth and individuality that is truly unique.

It is painted on box canvas that is ready to hang without need for a frame.
