An earlier work in an ongoing investigation into trace, residue and the instability of fixed meaning. Beneath layers of aqua, greys and blues, collaged cuttings from the London Evening Standard — stories written and edited during Brett's years as a journalist — are disrupted and partially absorbed by the painted surface. The marks don't illustrate the headlines; they erode them, leaving something between landscape and archive.
