Still Standing
The opening work in the Residual Ground series. A solitary tree form holds the vertical plane — pale, spare, caught between two flanking masses of blue. Dark presences gather in the upper field while buried warmth — yellow-olive, peach — pushes through from beneath the surface. The system is intact. The ground still holds its structure. This is the last moment before erosion begins.
Still Standing initiates a sequence of twelve works in which landscape gradually loses its fixed points — form dissolving into trace, depiction giving way to residue.
